On Ubuntu you’ll need to install with synaptic the 3 following packages: tkInter, tkInterImage and PIL (Python Image Library).
$ sudo apt-get install python-tk python-imaging python-imaging-tk
$ cd pwytter-0.8
$ sudo python setup.py install
$ pwytter.py
